Hi, I'm Shingo Suzuki, also known as Suzushin.
It hasn't been long since I wrote about resetting my blog more than ten times, but I've decided on another challenge: I've created an account on note and will publish somewhere besides this blog.
“Didn't you just start the blog? Are you already spreading yourself too thin?” You might reasonably ask! Part of me wonders the same. Still, I have reasons for trying it, and I'd like to explain them.
Why start note as well as the blog?
The main reason is wanting different depths of content in the two places.
Here, I share the process of trying things, including successes and failures, in an essay-like way—for example, creating a Claude Code agent team. I imagine readers enjoying the trial and error alongside me.
But when I actually build something, some details feel too specific or lengthy for this kind of article: the settings and steps I use, or exactly what I changed to fix a problem. That's practical material detailed enough for someone wanting to do the same thing.
I've decided to try note, a Japanese publishing platform, as a home for that more concrete content.
Another reason: trying monetization
I want to be honest that another reason is trying to earn money.
Thinking about revenue, I realized that ads and affiliate links aren't the only options. I could offer my knowledge and experimentation as paid content. Note lets you publish part of an article free and charge for the rest.
I've talked about turning my life around through chess, making games, and other challenges, but I haven't tried much specifically aimed at earning. This feels like another new challenge.
I honestly have no idea whether it will work. But I won't learn anything without trying, so I've decided to act.
What I'll write in each place
Here's how I see the distinction:
- Suzushin Lab: Free essays about the process of taking on challenges, honestly including failures.
- note: Practical details that don't fit here, such as specific procedures, settings, and prompts. Some may be paid articles.
For example, the agent-team article describes my impressions here. On note, I go further into the design thinking and how I overcame the obstacles.
I haven't proved anything yet
I don't expect starting note to bring readers or revenue immediately. I'm beginning with zero followers.
As I wrote last time, this attempt at blogging is mainly about continuing through systems rather than willpower. Note will be the same: steady publishing instead of demanding instant results.
Taking on challenges, learning my way through them, and trying to turn my life around.
That theme applies to my note experiment too.
If you're interested, I'd be happy if you took a look. I plan to publish more detailed content than here, while continuing to honestly share both what works and what doesn't.
